Dan Patlansky, locally and internationally revered as guitarist, singer/songwriter and blues purveyor will be performing a solo acoustic set on the terrace at Avontuur Estate, situated next to the R44 between Stellenbosch and Somerset West on Friday, 5 February.
Patlansky has just returned from a 25 show European and UK tour as special guest to Joe Satriani playing to over 80,000 seats in ten countries. Hailed as ‘the future of blues rock’ by UK music press, Patlansky’s performance at Avontuur Estate will include acoustic version previews of tracks from his new studio album ‘Intro-Vertigo’ due to be released worldwide in March 2016.
This intimate music event under the stars in front of the winery, promises to be an exceptional evening for music lovers who like to get up close and personal to their idols. “We are offering a maximum of 200 tickets only so as to give everyone a quality experience and with a rustic country style buffet included in the price of R350 p/p, we believe it will be a unique event for Dan’s fans, of which I’m one myself,” says owner Michael Taberer.
Dan Patlansky’s only acoustic album, ‘Wooden Thoughts’ released in 2013 and having been nominated as a Top Twenty Album worldwide, will be on sale at the event along with his full merchandise offer. Patlansky will also be available for a ‘Meet and Greet’ and signing of merchandise purchased on the night.
