Vergenoegd Wine Estate in Stellenbosch and CapeTalk present the next Live@Vergenoegd Summer Concert on Sunday 8th January 2017, featuring iconic SA band Monark and more local acts.
Kick off the new year at Cape Town’s best outdoor family summer concert experience with live music, wine, food and great company – all set on Vergenoegd’s idyllic green lawns.
Exciting additions have been made to the concert series for the 2017 calendar.
Expanded line-up
Not two acts, but five! The line-up has been expanded to include more local artists, meaning more music for you.
The line-up for Sunday 8 January now includes:
- Crosscurrents (winners of Live@Vergenoegd opening band search)
- Jim Harrison Project
- Blynd Tyger
- Purple Cry
- Monark (headliners)
Gates open at 11h00 and the music starts at 12h00. Or come a little early with the kids to see the famous Vergenoegd Duck Parade at 10:00 and 11:30 – and then book your spot on the grass for when the concert starts. You can also rent hay bales for R10 each to create your picnic vibe.
Season Tickets launched to save you money
The Live@Vergenoegd Summer Concert Series “Season Ticket” gives you access to the remaining four concerts on the 2017 calendar for only R400. You save R80 (R20 per concert). This makes a great Christmas gift!

Bigger VIP area
Due to huge demand, the VIP area will be made bigger from the January 8th concert.
The Live@Vergenoegd VIP Package is R1100 and includes:
- Two tickets to the concert
- VIP parking and entrance
- A separate area with an excellent view of the stage
- Comfortable seating
- Private toilets
- Access to the main concert area
- Catering that includes two bottles of Vergenoegd Runner Duck red, white or rose, a selection of delicious food and a 750ml bottle of water
- An exclusive Vergenoegd blending experience voucher (wine, coffee, tea or olive oil) to enjoy at your next visit to the estate.
VIP packages are limited per concert.
Live@Vergenoegd is a family-friendly open-air music experience in the Cape winelands and the perfect destination for this unique event.
Tickets are only R120 per adult and R50 for under 12’s. The Kids’ Village will be set up to keep the little ones entertained. Vergenoegd wine, food and drinks will be on sale on the day from a great selection of traders (note: you may not bring your own food or drinks).
