Steenberg Farm is set to serve up an evening of laughter, food and outdoor entertainment when Steenberg Comedy Night takes place on Thursday, 5 November 2026. Hosted on the lawns of Tryn Restaurant, the event will bring together four of South Africa’s most celebrated comedic talents for a night of stand-up, satire, storytelling and musical comedy beneath the stars.
The line-up features award-winning comedian Yaaseen Barnes, internationally touring comedian and broadcaster Dalin Oliver, acclaimed comedian and writer KG Mokgadi, and Cape Town singer, skit-maker and musical comedian Waseem Fredericks.
Guests can choose between a relaxed lawn experience or seated dining on Tryn’s Oak Terrace, creating an evening that combines comedy with Steenberg’s signature hospitality.
According to Jessica Louw, Marketing Manager of Hospitality at Steenberg Farm, the evening is designed to bring together great entertainment, food and atmosphere in a uniquely Steenberg setting. “There’s something special about sharing a laugh with friends while enjoying an evening outdoors,” says Louw. “With an exceptional comedy line-up, great food and the beauty of the farm as a backdrop, Steenberg Comedy Night promises a memorable night out.”
For those wanting a casual outdoor experience, guests can settle in on the Tryn lawns with picnic blankets and chairs while enjoying the show under the evening sky. Lawn tickets are available, with the option to pre-order a gourmet alfresco picnic box prepared by the Tryn culinary team.
The gourmet picnic box, designed to be shared between two guests, features a selection of artisanal cured meats and local cheeses, beef tataki, pickled fish terrine, seasonal salads, sweet treats and more.
Guests looking for a more elevated experience can book seating on Tryn’s Oak Terrace, which includes the comedy show and a three-course dinner.
