Cosmic Gate once again pulled together a ridiculous amount of die-hard fans in Cape Town and Joburg over the past weekend. Even with the disappointment of Orjan Nilsen not making it to South Africa due to medical reasons, Lovoka and NuWave Entertainment pulled together with a back up plan that had us all amped to go….
On Friday night Dean Fuel covered Orjan’s scheduled set to warm up the crowd for a bit while we all waited for the main attraction. Whether it was the die-hard fans from the 90’s or the new ones, everyone experienced the passionate beats and melodies from one of the world’s greatest trance duos. A highlight of the evening was when J’Something from Mi Casa took to the stage to perform “Over the rainbow” live with Cosmic Gate.
Emma Hewitt had us hanging on everyone of her words with her amazing live performance. Her voice, stage presence and intoxicated energy proved exactly why she is #1 in everyones books.
On Saturday, James Damain, DJ Fresh, Pascal & Pearce, DJ Zaxx and Dirty Herz lived up to the South African promise of world-class DJs for the Joburg installment of the tour.
Thorough organisation ensured a smoothly run event service (even with the sauna that was The Side Show) with swift entrance, quick bar service. NuWave Entertainment & Global Take Over once again showed us why they are one of the best in the entertainment business in South Africa.
