The J&B Met, now 35 years down the line is South Africa’s most prestigious horse race. With hundreds and thousands of horse racing enthusiasts, breeders and the social elite attending this yearly event.
This must attend event is not just a bunch of horses running down the track, but also happens to be one of the most glamorous and stylish fashion events around.
This years theme for J&B Met was “Made To Fly” however all the banners and branding had “Made Different” all over them, which if our memory serves us correctly was last years theme…..?
The horse that won the day, well actually the main race (Grade 1) was horse Martial Eagle (breeder Sabine Plattner) with jockey Aldo Domeyer with the odds of 80-1! This seemed to have caused a little bit of an stir…
All in all, we had a fantastic day at the races. Next time, we’re definitely going with some sunscreen and possibly an umbrella….
