On Saturday, 29 June go on and join Ernst Gouws & Co. at HQ for an evening devoted to sublime cuisine paired with superlative wines: Cellar Dwellers at HQ. Shake off the chill of winter with an indulgent night at this iconic steakhouse and bar located in Cape Town’s historic Heritage Square. With an interior that is both sophisticated and moody, the exposed stone walls and leather seating gives you the perfect atmosphere for drinking wine—you’ll feel as if you’ve stumbled upon an urban wine cellar.
Stellenbosch wine estate, Ernst Gouws & Co will host the evening and lead a tasting through their range of wines, which includes a Merlot, Shiraz, and Pinot Noir as well as a selection of whites. The estate is family-owned and run; and it produces ‘premium wines in an environmentally sensitive and ethically responsible manner’. The wine-tasting will be partnered with a three-course meal for R250 and expect HQ’s famous sirloin and thin-cut fries as a main feature.
The night will be fun, informative and intimate, but only two words really matter: red wine and steak!
