Everyone is shaking off the winter blues as summer peeks around the corner, bringing with it the promise of the golden sunshine and gorgeous blue skies of a glorious South African summer. And what better way to celebrate than to get outdoors, and plan your next adventure at the same time?
The Cape Outdoor Eco, Adventure and Travel Expo is the perfect place to do it, showcasing a range of lifestyle, leisure and travel brands; combined with a fun-packed day for adventurers of all ages. Held at Sandringham Farm in Stellenbosch, the fresh air and stunning scenery is the perfect inspiration to spend more time exploring all that nature has to offer – with everything that you need to make it happen right at your fingertips.
Browse the extensive range of tourism and travel exhibitors. This expo has something for all ages and tastes, whether you are craving a quick getaway or are planning a long tour.
Events for the whole family will be held throughout the Expo. Interact with the brave and loyal SA guide dogs, SPCA and the K9 Search and Rescue team, learn about rhino conservation efforts at the Palala Rhino Sanctuary stand, and find out more on the deadly dozen reptiles.
If that isn’t enough to keep you busy, the Cape of Good Hope SPCA, K9 Search and Rescue and SA Guide Dogs, will be hosting an Outdoor Paw Parade during the Expo, on Sunday the 27th of October at 10h00. Bring your socialised furry friend to enjoy the fresh air with you on a 2km walk along the farm. Entry is included in the ticket price of the Expo, although donations to the SPCA, SA Guide Dogs and K9 Search and Rescue are welcome and appreciated.
For even more action and fun, plus a jolt of adrenaline, there will be exhibits from SA Bungee, a bungee bounce, Paintball, Bubble Balls, live snake demonstrations, drop tower, and the adorable Monkey Town.
With so much to see and do, the Expo has made sure that there are also plenty of chances to relax, and be entertained. Good food, such as Kobus Se Gat Boerekos and other tasty treats, go hand in hand with craft beers and Obikwa wine. Enjoy the feast to the sounds of Cat Simoni, “the girl with the golden voice”, who will be singing a variety of popular hits to get toes tapping on the 26th and 27th October.
The Outdoor Expo is also partnering with the Look and Feel Good Expo, which is packed with everything health, beauty, fitness and well-being related. One ticket allows entry into both expos.
Running from the 25th to the 27th of October, the Outdoor Eco, Adventure and Travel Expo is a fabulous day out. Full Family Fun, and two Expos for the price of one!
