Paul Bothner Band Academy will host an evening of talks, covering topics of band management, artist rights, local event organising at the Assembly on Tuesday, 28 October.

The following topics will be covered:

How to thrive in a “who you know” industry by Patrick Davidson
Developing contacts, and maintaining relationships is everything in the music industry – but with faces often changing, one needs a good strategy towards remaining relevant in the minds of those who can help you.

Between the band and the manager by Martin Myers
Having spent many years in management, working closely with some of the biggest names in our industry, Martin will be sharing his take on what bands should be doing to get themselves noticed, and how to keep growing.

Carving your path in the music industry by Kyle Petersen
Recently returned from Berklee College of Music, Kyle will be discussing how to make it in our local industry, and the difference between expectations of musicians here and abroad.

The ins-and-outs of the theatre industry as a musician by Stuart Ramage
Stuart is currently the Front of House Audio Engineer at the Roxy Revue bar, at Grand West Casino. He will be covering topics which range from where to find work, what to be prepared for if you find work, and how to keep that work consistent, from then on.
