The colder weather provides the perfect excuse to escape indoors and Pepperclub Hotel & Spa is just the spot to do it! The hotel is currently running its Winter wine tasting series this month and with the theme of Christmas in July, the wine tasting evenings provides a cozy atmosphere for guests to sample some of the Cape’s finest wines.
Having launched at the beginning of July, the intimate wine tasting evenings are held in the hotel’s chic Paparazzi Bar & Lounge, an ideal venue to enjoy the vibrancy of the inner-city, from 17.30 until !9:00 every Thursday during the month of July.
This Thursday, Marianne Wine Estate will be showcased. Nestled between Stellenbosch and the Simonsberg mountain, Marianne Wine Estate produces French-style wines that honour both the South African terroir, and the 2000-year-old heritage of Bordeaux winemaking.

The tastings serve as a perfect midweek outing with friends, and an opportunity to sample some of the Cape’s hidden gem wineries. Guests feeling like a nibble can also explore the new tapas menu which includes Greek meatballs, Jalapeno and cheese rissoles and Japanese crumbed chicken goujons to mention a few dishes.
Attending guests will also have the opportunity to enter the wine tasting series competition, which will see one lucky winner receive a complimentary night’s accommodation at the hotel at the end of the series – so don’t forget to drop your business card in the cookie jar.
