TUNING THE VINE IS BACK THIS FEBRUARY

It’s time to embark on your very own #InnerCityWineRoute adventure and immerse yourself in a wine event like no other, as Tuning the Vine returns for another exciting installment on Wednesday Febraury 10 from 5.30pm to 9pm.

Whether you’re an experienced wino wanting to access some of your favourites in the heart of the city or a curious newbie looking to demystify wine and explore what wine wonders await your tastebuds; dive into this epic mid-week wine adventure across quality wines and the hippest CBD spots.

Following the massive success of the event last year, Tuning the Vine is set to rock the city in 2016 with more wine tuning fun across the best venues that include: HQ, 91 Loop Boutique Hostel,  Jason Bakery, Palma, Culture Club, Bacon on Bree, Door 221, Little Saint, Orphanage Cocktail Emporium,  Charango Peruvian Grill & Bar, Weinhaus & Biergarten, House of Machines, Bocca, Tjing Tjing Rooftop Bar, Signal Hill Winery and The Gin Bar.

Giving you a #WineWednesday you’re sure to remember, Tuning the Vine is also giving tuners a chance to win wine for a year at February’s event. Red, white, rose, blended or bubbly – take a creative selfie at the event, with your favourite producer’s bottle and Tuning the Vine glass, upload it to Instagram or Twitter using #mybestwine #InnerCityWineRoute and you could win 120 bottles of wine, all drawn from our participating wine producers.

Newton Johnson, Jordan Wines, Raats, Buitenverwachting, Diemersdal, Klein Constantia, Almenkerk, Thelema, Hermanuspietersfontein, Waterford, Springfield, Sumaridge, Avondale, Vergenoegd, Kaapzicht, Mulderbosch, Trizanne, Grand Provence, Creation, Tokara, Vondeling, Cape Point Vineyards, Sijnn and Hartenberg, Kaapzicht, Thorne & Daughters, Montpellier; know their names or simply like the way they roll off your tongue, these are just some of the producers you’ll have access to as you walk the streets wine glass in hand.
Delicious food, wine pairing, great music and cocktails aside, Tuning the Vine aims to inform you with wine crash courses, cellar talks, sommelier tours and wine makers on call.

Erase everything that you’ve come to expect of a typical wine event and immerse yourself in the extraordinary diversity of this transformative #InnerCityWineRoute experience. Follow the fairies, use your schnoz, tune your taste buds and find your flavour as you join the fun.

TICKETING DETAILS
Tickets are limited, so secure your spot online now for R150 via Quicket. All ticket holders head to one of the two ticketing stations on the night to collect your wrist bands and glasses. In February the ticket stations will be at 91 Loop Boutique Hostel and Orphanage Cocktail Emporium in Bree.
Sommelier tours start at 6pm and 7pm from 91 on Loop. This 45 minute adventure is customised to suit your tastebuds and costs an additional R100 per person. Tickets available online.
Venues will offer delicious, quick and easy takeaways for wine tuners on the move.
