In a first for South Africa, Rocking the Daisies Music and Lifestyle Festival has launched a pioneering phased system with ticketing partner Nutickets, aimed at giving its dedicated fans the best chance to get their hands on a ticket before they sell out – and at the best possible price.
Now in its 11th year, Rocking the Daisies takes place from 6-9 October 2016 at the beautiful Cloof Wine Estate in Darling in the Western Cape and draws over 22,000 people over the four days from across the country – and the world. An international and local line-up of more than 180 artists, bands and DJ’s; world-class production and an ever-evolving festival experience mean Daisies tickets sell out quickly, so fans are urged to purchase theirs in the allocated phases to avoid missing out.
This year Rocking the Daisies is ecstatic to have Superbalist involved in keeping all attendees kitted with the latest festival fashion. Each ticket holder will be treated to a Superbalist voucher to ensure that you will all be looking super stylish.
How this year’s Rocking the Daisies ticketing works:
Each ticket must be assigned to an individual person; multiple tickets cannot be purchased under one name, so make sure that you get your friend’s cellphone number and email address if you’ll be buying for them.
Festive season early birds already went on sale on Friday, 18 December 2015 and sold out on the first day.
Phase 1: Monday, 25 April 2016
Log onto www.rockingthedaisies.com at 09:00 on Monday, 25 April as Phase 1 kicks off. Tickets will be R795 for a full weekend pass, excluding booking fee – this is the cheapest price you’ll pay for a ticket this year. Quantities are limited and will sell out quickly, so get them while they’re hot! You’ll be able to purchase up to two tickets.
Ticket Reservation: Thursday, 5 May 2016
A slick, new ‘reservation’ phase has been introduced, whereby fans who weren’t lucky enough to snap up their tickets in Phase 1 can (and must) reserve their tickets for Phases 2 and 3. If you reserve a ticket you are guaranteed a ticket when sales open.
At 09:00 on Thursday, 5 May, ticket reservation opens at www.rockingthedaisies.com and note that each phase will have a limited number of tickets available for reservation.
Phase 2: Wednesday, 25 May 2016
Tickets will be R895, for a full weekend pass, excluding booking fee. Only reserved tickets will be on sale.
You will be able to purchase up to three tickets in Phase 2 but will need to do so within a specified time frame. If you miss it, you’ll have to wait until July when tickets open for the rest of the public, if there are any left.
Phase 3: Wednesday, 1 June 2016
Tickets will be R995, for a full weekend pass, excluding booking fee. Again, only reserved tickets will be on sale.
You will be able to purchase up to four tickets in Phase 3 but will need to do so within a specified time frame.
After the reserved tickets have been sold public sales open. This means everyone else who hasn’t reserved a ticket using the reservation system will be able to buy tickets.
Ticket Transfers:
Ticket transfers will open on Wednesday, 1 June and will close 12 hours before the festival gates open. All tickets can be transferred online and will cost R50.
