When you’re raised by DJs, it’s pretty hard not to end up with music in your veins. That’s what happened with Brazilian born DJ, Alok Petrillo. He’s been conquering the international dance music scene since 2015, his breakthrough year during which he entered DJ Mag’s Top 100 list at #44, the first Brazilian artist to achieve such a feat.
His underground, groovy style of house music oozes sex appeal and it is this sexy sound that Olmeca was after when they booked him to headline their Switch on the Night party at Shimmy Beach Club on 25Â November 2016.
Switch on the Night is no stranger to South African summer parties, having toured with Nicky Romero in 2015, regularly sponsored Grietfest and Rocking the Daisies, and having collaborations with local artists such as Sibot and Kyle Watson.
