District – the exciting new addition to the Cape Town nightclub scene – presents a series of Friday club nights that is sure to excite electronic music fans in the city. Each week will feature a specially-crafted line-up of DJs from a variety of genres ranging from Hip Hop, Deep House and Tech House to Techno, Drum and Bass and Dubstep.
Based in the trendy Harrington precinct, with its entrance on Constitution Street, District is a fresh space designed with music in mind; complete with a custom-built stage, specially-crafted sound system, state of the art lighting and LED feature walls. It is not only impressive sound and lighting that makes the club so unique, space has been stylishly curated with graphic walls, large chandeliers, six large plush leather VIP booths and a beautiful long bar. Its open floor plan, along with an outdoor smoking section, makes it the perfect venue for a great night out.
For those looking for variety or a break from the electronic sounds, there are two additional offerings on the premises with an easy flow between the three spaces. Patrons are welcome to spend time in Harringtons, an upmarket cocktail lounge with its own dancefloor situated on the middle floor of the building, or Surfarosa, a neighbourhood bar with edgy rock ‘n’ roll surfer vibes on the ground floor.
In addition to the changing music programme, District will feature different drinks specials between 9pm and 10pm every week, and there will be a weekly opportunity for revellers who come early to win a VIP booth for the night.
Besides the Friday club nights, District is available as a venue for private events on Saturday nights. With an 800-person capacity, open plan layout and world-class sound system, the space is ideal for live music concerts, launches, dance events and private parties.
District is open to the public every Friday night, with the entrance fee set at R50 before 10pm and R80 thereafter*. Entrance to Harringtons and Surfarosa is free of charge.
