The Transformers; Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Megatron and the Rescue Bots will descend on The Sun Exhibit, GrandWest this November, for the galactic last leg of the Transformers Exhibition South African.
The Transformers Exhibition is a walk through exhibition depicting the rise of Transformers from the iconic 1980’s animated Generation 1 toy line, to the new age animated Rescue Bots and lastly to the incredible scrap metal sculptures, which tower above to represent the CGI Transformers we see in the movies today.
The exhibition features 12 animated Transformers, nine sculptures scaled between 2m and 9m, and another 20 statues varying in size – all made from re-used car parts, metal and other repurposed materials. The display spans over 2,500sqm of floor space and takes over 20 days to build.
With a free downloadable Transformers Workbook, the Transformers Exhibition is not only a fulfilled family outing but an educational experience too. Using Transformers as the theme, the 17-page workbook covers the foundation phase subjects Maths, Language and Life Skills to keep children engaged before and after they have attended the exhibition.
Tickets are sold per one-hour timeslots. You can spend as much time as you like at the exhibition, but an average visit will take about two hours.
