Monster is launching the brand new DNA headphones in South Africa on the 23rd of March in Cape Town and the 24th of March in Johannesburg.
Monster DNA is all about expressing who you are and what you stand for. The headphones come stock in four different two-toned colour designs, but can be customised to suit your personality. The bold, triangular headset produces rich, fresh and clear sound. They are tough and durable and have some comfortable and rather advanced noise isolating cushions. They also have an interesting “dual-port” input that allows you to connect up to five sets of headphones to them.
The Monster brand was founded over 30 years ago by Noel Lee, who was recently honoured with the prestigious Plus X Award: Lifetime Achievement Award, as a company dedicated to creating products that enhance the sound quality of music. The company engineered the sound of the acclaimed Beats by Dr. Dr headphones, and are now manufacturing their own top quality headphones.
The launch will see Alex Niggemann, producer, musician, DJ and label owner from Berlin grace South Africa with his presence. At the age of 15 he fell in love with Techno music. Alex’s style is difficult to define, but he describes himself as a house DJ. He produces and plays whatever suits him at the moment: from dark tech house to classic house music. Gigs across North and South America and Europe have become part of his standard business routine. Summers have seen him performing in Europe and Ibiza while travelling through to Brazil and Asia. Alex has had many releases on top labels such as Poker Flat, Get Physical, and Supernature just to name a few. He also owns his own record label Soulfooled which opened in 2010.
The focus at Soulfooled is on creating a platform for new music and promptly responding to the trends in the electronic music scene so that artists can release their music sooner. The label has already signed a number of famous international artists including Audiofly, Till von Sein, Phonique and David Durango. His productions enjoy a solid reputation. So it was no surprise to see him holding the number eight position on Resident Advisor‘s “Top 20 Charted Artists” in the end of 2009 ahead of DJ‘s such as Loco Dice, Joris Voorn or Ben Klock. Alex is managed by Blueprint artists for more info visit: www.blueprintartists.com.
