On Saturday, 21 November, Tune Out launched the first in this 9 event summer series.
The first event set the tone for the rest of the season and Tune Out’s summer picnics have been tipped by those in the know to be this season’s hottest summer outing.
Hosted on a beautiful farm in the Franschhoek Valley located only 35min from Cape Town’s city center, Tune Out offers the perfect opportunity to enjoy the Cape Winelands.
Tune Out aims to playfully break down walls and make you feel at home. When people come together, energies unite, creating a new soul enriching reality. This combined with the majestic farm setting is guaranteed to offer a memorable experience, as witnessed by those that were there in November during “the Launch”.
Tune Out aims for people to become part of a new lifestyle group who truly appreciate coming together under the African sun and letting their hair down in elegant style with a mutual understanding of a party etiquette as can should be: to feel free and to connect. Tune out aims to reach the work hard/play hard crowd that want the most from life.
During the 9 picnics Tune Out will focus on showcasing South Africa’s most respected House DJ’s and carefully selected international head liners playing a warm and inviting sound that Tune Out feels is missing in the scene.
Tune Out is an initiative by South African Music Producer Dino Moran and Dutch Entrepreneur Herman Calis who are highly motivated individuals that are maximising their skill sets with an immense experience to deliver the very best and out of the box events that are custom designed to fill a much needed void in the market. At the Tune Out events one is in touch with one self all that happens in a circle of 200m around us, without any pressure imposed on how one should behave.
A picnic spot with blanket & umbrella are included. Food trucks, 2 bars, a swimming pool, a lake and a dance floor guarantee to bring together like-minded music enthusiasts.

• R45 towards “Franschhoek”
• After 6KM at the intersection R45 / Klapmuts-Simondium Road turn RIGHT (Note “Vrede & Lust” Estate)
• The road curves, after 200m note the Ruppert & Rothshild Frederickshof estate
• Immediately thereafter: turn to the LEFT (Note the white Pillar: Flenterskloof Farm)
• Drive up the graded road for 1.5Km

Tickets are not transferable, should the winner not be able to attend a runner up will be drawn. The competition closes at 17:00 (5pm) on Wednesday, 23 December 2015.
