The prestigious annual Le Kap Lifestyle Fair held on the 5th of December at the picturesque Webersburg Wine Estate in Stellenbosch set a new benchmark for the ‘trend set’ in South Africa.
Regarded as one of the leading events on the ‘A-list’ celebrity social calendar, the event embodies all the elements that are synonymous with a luxury and opulent lifestyle.
This year sparked the association between Le Lap Lifestyle Fair and Lamborghini, the iconic super car manufacturer, who featured some of their latest models, as well as some of the old classics. The highlight of the Lamborghini showcase was the revealing of the all new ‘Lamborghini Huracan Spyder’ on the day! The car was specifically flown into South Africa 48 hours before the event for this purpose.
The 2015 Le Kap Lifestyle Fair was an extravaganza of extraordinary proportions. One of the highlights was a ‘world-class’ fashion show by some of the giants in the South African fashion industry. The magnificent fashion show by Craig Port, Jacques LaGrange, Thula Sindi and Luisa Spagnoli saw models share the catwalk on a purpose built stage with three of the latest Lamborghini supercars.
Adding to the excitement of the day, was a superb performance by the award-winning instrumental pop group, Sterling EQ, who kept the crowd entertained with magnificent performances throughout the day.
Another popular element to the event was the horse jumping competition, which saw Kerry Durston win the coveted Le Kap Lifestyle Fair Cup for the second year running. Kerry received a R5000 cash prize, which was presented to her by Mr Francesco Cresci from Lamborghini who jetted into South Africa to attend the event. Second placed received a R2500 and third place received R1500.
The VIP & Celebrity lounge, which is strictly upon invitation, was an extravagant ‘affaire’ and was populated by the local and international ‘Super Rich’, leading fashion designers, television presenters, socialites, corporate executives and those who enjoy the bespoke Le Kap Lifestyle Fair offering.
To add to the glamour of the event, the dress code theme was labeled ‘sophisticated Royal Ascot-inspired chic’, which attracted a collection of creative and colourful outfits donned by petite and exquisite head attire.
Adding the finishing touches to the 2015 Le Kap Lifestyle Fair was the sublime cuisine from four celebrated South African chefs, Gregory Czarnecki, Chris Eramus, Herman Steyn and Nadia Roux, who each prepared a signature dish, for attendees to enjoy whilst sipping on premium South African wines and Veuve Clicquot Champagne.
