Gabriëlskloof and Farro are ushering in the joy of summer with a Garden Party. It’s set to be a day of revelry, family togetherness, and a culinary extravaganza against the backdrop of the beautiful Botrivier wine valley.
‘Let’s Take it Outside’ will happen on Saturday 16 December 2023, from 10:00 to 18:00. The entrance to the Garden Party is entirely free, ensuring that everyone, even furry friends, can partake in the festivities.
Indulge in Gourmet Food from Farro
For those seeking a culinary adventure, there will be an option to pre-book and purchase gourmet picnic boxes for two adults. Prepared by the Farro team, each box includes a selection of antipasti-style treats, from freshly baked baguettes to an assortment of local cheeses, cured meats, and dips – an epicurean experience designed for sharing. Parents can also pre-book and pay for a kids’ version for R150 per child, which includes a little picnic bag on a stick filled with a variety of foods suitable for young palates, along with a cool drink and small surprise.
In addition to the picnic boxes, a variety of food options will be available on the day, including pizzas from Farro’s Ooni oven, oysters (paired with generous servings of Madame Lucy’s MCC), and more, ensuring there’s something to satisfy every taste bud.
Wine Tasting with Gabriëlskloof
Upon arrival, guests can enjoy tastings of Gabriëlskloof’s latest releases and explore a selection of older vintages from the cellar. For those looking to unwind, there’s the opportunity to pour a glass of your favourite Gabriëlskloof wine and find a serene spot on the stoep or lawn to take in the scenic beauty.
Family-Friendly Entertainment
‘Let’s Take it Outside’ will also be brimming with entertainment – there will be performances by the Botrivier Marimba kids and the Botrivier Youth’s Hip Hop groups; as well as a treasure hunt, “fishing” in the tranquil ponds, face painting, and the little ones can bounce to their hearts’ content on the jumping castle.
